ROBERT G. FORD

Robert Gene ``Bob'' Ford, 61, died Aug. 1, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Ford, a retired agent of Peoples Life Insurance Co., was born in Fredrick, Md. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He also retired after 20 years from the U.S. Navy, and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Mary J. Ford of Norfolk; two daughters, Brenda White of Canal Fulton, Ohio, Kimberly Callis of Suffolk; a son, Glenn Ford of Chesapeake; four sisters, Lenora Pazdersky, Beverly Dorsey and Patsy Houff, all of Fredrick, Md., and Peggy Crumb of Ladiesburg, Md.; two brothers, George Ford Jr., of Walkersville, Md., and David Ford of Douglasville, Pa.; six grandchildren, Jennifer Ford, Tammi Ford, Carrie Ford, Lisa Ford, Crystal Ford and Angela Luke; five stepgrandchildren, Trenton White, Ryan White, Ashlynn Ford, Christina Wells and Jason Callis; sister-in-law, Mrs. Bill Reber; mother-in-law, Mary Franklin; and several loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Ford and George D. Ford Sr.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, conducted by Rev. Frances Moody and Rev. Robert Morris. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
