Edward ``Eddie'' C. Davis, 37, died Monday, July 31, 1995, in his home after a short illness.
Eddie had been a resident of Honolulu for the past 20 years. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Norfolk, Va., Class of 1976. Eddie was the restaurant entrepreneur of Hamburger Mary's based in Honolulu. He was an extensive collector of art decor and antiques. He enjoyed his travels around the world, his automobiles, his friends, and his cat ``Smokems''. He loved his family and will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Doris Helen Earnest Parker and Hobert Charles Parker; and cousins, Pamela Diane Bedgood and Michael Lee Preston.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Nancy C. and Sam H. Frye; his father, Frank J. Davis; his sister, Tonya Jean Whistleman; sister and brother-in-law, Katherine M. Wombles and Clinton; brother, Frank Steven ``Steve'' Davis; two nieces and two nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Pensacola, Fla., California,Corpus Christy, Tex., Richmond, Va., and Mississippi.
It was Eddie's wishes to be cremated, and for an Aloha (Love and Goodbye) party to be held at his mother's home 5 p.m. today, and also in Honolulu. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Faith Chapel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
