Betty W. Scott, 68, died Tuesday, August 1, 1995.
Mrs. Scott was a native of Hickory, N.C., and was a resident of Poquoson for ten years. She was a retired school teacher for Newport News High School and was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Malvin and Myra Scott of Virginia Beach; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Greg Sutton of Poquoson, with whom she resided for ten years; two brothers, Milton Westmoreland of Charlotte, N.C., and Don Westmoreland of Wilmington, N.C.; and grandchildren, Scott Sutton of Greenville, N.C., Mal Scott of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by her husband, M. Gordon Scott, and her grandson, Matthew Sutton.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. today at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News by Dr. Irvin Acree. Memorial contributions may be made to Poquoson Rescue Squad, 1035 Poquoson Ave., Poquoson, Va. 23662.
