MABELINE C. LYON

Mabeline Crist Lyon, 66, of 1116 Chestnut Hill Drive, Lynchburg, died Wednesday, August 2, 1995, in Virginia Baptist Hospital.

She was the wife of the Rev. L. Carlton Lyon, former pastor of Diamond Springs Christian Church of Virginia Beach.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Gary M. Lyon and his wife, Suzanne, of Richmond; four grandchildren, Shelley C. Johnson and Samuel H. Lyon, both of Bel Air, Md., Jonathan M. Lyon and Elizabeth S. Lyon, both of Richmond; two step-grandchildren, Robert B. Stewart and Megan N. Stewart, both of Richmond; one great-granddaughter, Gabrielle C. Johnson of Bel Air, Md.; one brother, William Issac Crist of Madison Heights; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Woody Frampton of Lynchburg, Mrs. Lenice Ruth Hunter, and Mrs. Lucille Hunter, both of Madison Heights.

A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at Fairview Christian Church, Lynchburg, by Dr. Jan Weston, Dr. Willie Davis, the Rev. Virgil Knipp and the Rev. Paul Thompson. Burial will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park in Lynchburg. Whitten Timberlake Chapel, 7404 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, is in charge of arrangements.
