A Corolla man who has served with three Republican presidents has been appointed to the North Carolina Seafood Industrial Park Authority.
John Schrote, a former assistant secretary in the Department of Interior in the Bush administration, has been appointed to the board by North Carolina Speaker of the House Harold Brubaker.
Schrote, 59, served in the Nixon and Reagan administrations. He also ran unsuccessfully last year for the North Carolina General Assembly Seat currently held by Bill Owens. by CNB
