Joseph Henry Bloxom, 71, of Veteran's Administration Hospital, Nursing Care Unit, 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, Ga., died July 31, 1995, in Veteran's Administration Hospital, Augusta, Ga.
Mr. Bloxom was formerly of Parksley, Va., and was born in Chester, Pa., on July 8, 1924. He was the son of Clarence W. Bloxom and Lacie (Taylor) Bloxom Evans. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he was a Master Sergeant. Mr. Bloxom was a Protestant.
He is survived by three sisters, Ella Andrews of Warrington, Fla., Inez Montgomery of Garland, Texas, and Louise Calhoun of Newport News, Va.; and one brother, Warren H. Bloxom of Virginia Beach, Va.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 1995, at Thornton Funeral Home, 24183 Chadbourne St., Parksley, Va., by the Rev. Travis Deloache. Burial will be in Parksley Cemetery, Parksley, Va. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Military Honors at the graveside.
