Frances Lee Bowne Rice, 80, of the 3700 block of Kingman Ave., died Aug. 3, 1995, in Maryview Hospital.
Mrs. Rice, a lifelong resident and native of Portsmouth, was a member of the South St. Baptist Church. She was the widow of Donald Earl Rice Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, June Rice Varner of Suffolk and Betty Rice Howell of Chesapeake; two sons, Donald Earl Rice Jr. of Suffolk and Robert Bowne Rice of Chesapeake; a brother, Leon R. Bowne Sr. of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, by Pastor Richard Brodwer in Olive Branch Cemetery. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, in charge. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m., and at other times at 4116 Duke of Gloucester, Chesapeake.
