Curtis ``Moose'' Brannon Basnight, 79, of Broad Bay Road, died August 3, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Basnight was a retired electrical inspector for the City of Virginia Beach. He was born in East Lake, N.C., and was a member of Baylake United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Chancel Choir and the Bayside Masonic Lodge (NU)218.
He is survived by his wife, Frances J. Basnight; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel F. and Elizabeth L. Basnight of Charlottesville, Va., and James C. and Donna M. Basnight of Virginia Beach; and grandchildren Brett L. and Bryan D. Basnight of Charlottesville, Va., and Lori M. and Lindsey M. Basnight of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 1995, by the Rev. Ted David and the Rev. Joseph French at Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. They suggest memorial contributions be made to Hospice Volunteers Inc., 4663 Haygood Rd., Suite 211, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455, or, Ocean Park Fire and Rescue Squad, Stratford Road and Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455.
