Marvin A. ``Teddy'' Goodman Jr. of the 5600 block of Dodington Ct. died Aug. 2, 1995.
Mr. Goodman, a retired night shift supervisor at General Foam Plastics, was born in Norfolk. He was a member of New St. John AME Church, Virginia Beach, and Virginia Conference Lay Organization of the AME Church. He was an L.P.N. at Norfolk General Hospital, kidney ward for years and a medical coordinator for the Medical Personnel Pool for several years.
Survivors include his parents, Levinia Goodman of Virginia Beach and Marvin A. Goodman Sr. of Norfolk; two sisters, Patricia Betty of Long Island, N.Y., and Delores Goodman of Virginia Beach; a godsister, Harriet Fitchett of Norfolk; a very special cousin, Ebony Steel of Norfolk; an uncle, John Elliott; and two aunts, Lucille Elliott, Delores Pettiford; a host of relatives and friends; aunts, Pauline Elliott, Gloria Robertson, and Dr. Edith Goodman; great aunts, Hallie Simon and Beulah Nicholson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fredrick Goodman Sr. and Lucinda Goodman.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at New St. John AME Church, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home in charge.
