Virginia Bryant Coggsdale, 87, of 810 Chestnut St., died Friday, Aug. 4, 1995.
Mrs. Coggsdale was a native of Southampton County and was the widow of Luther Redell Coggsdale. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include one daughter: Winnie C. Rountree and her husband, Lloyd, of Suffolk, two sons: L. Russell Coggsdale of Franklin and Jesse E. Coggsdale and his wife, Helen, of Wilson, N.C. Mrs. Coggsdale was predeceased by a daughter: Frances C. Mears, and her parents: Tony and Susie Drewry Bryant. Other survivors include two brothers: J. Walter Bryant Sr. of Boykins, Va., and Thomas Bryant of California. 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 1995, at Wright Funeral Home by Rev. Douglas Gibson. The burial will be at Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
