On July 29, I had the privilege of participating in the Safe Kids Safety Seminar, an infant/small-child CPR class, at Birdneck Elementary School offered by the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in conjunction with the American Heart Association. Virginia Beach firefighters and rescue volunteers were our instructors. It was a beautifully organized day and cost a mere $5, making it affordable to all.
I strongly suggest the class to everyone but especially parents and grandparents.
How fortunate we are to have such dedicated volunteers in our community. My hat is off to them!
