WILLIAM C. WILBUR

William Chesley Wilbur died Aug. 5, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.

Mr. Wilbur was born Oct. 25, 1907, in Brambleton Ward of Norfolk. He was the son of the late Stephen Warner Wilbur and Sallie Elizabeth Williams Wilbur. He had retired as a cost accountant, with the City of Norfolk Water Department, after 37 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Norfolk. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk, and an honorary member of Ruth Masonic Lodge (NU)89.

He was preceded in his trip to everlasting life by his first wife, Antoinette Ritter Wilbur, and his second wife, Lottie Milteer Wilbur.

Survivors include two sons, William C. Wilbur Jr. of Placerville, Calif., and Stephen W. Wilbur of Virginia Beach; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. Dick Baker. Friends may join the family at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, for visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Norfolk, Building Fund.
