John L. Banks Jr., 43, of the 1200 block of Virginia St., died Aug. 4, 1995, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Banks, a native of Franklin, was the son of the late Lafayette and Rosa Banks. He was retired from Saches Peanut Factory after 20 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Banks; one daughter, Tia S. Powell of Franklin; one son, Kevin L. Rose of Great Lake, Ill.; one sister, Selena V. Darden of Franklin; and one grandchild.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Pleasant Shade Baptist Church. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery with Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home in charge.
