HELEN L. GEITZ

Helen Lynes Geitz, 68, died Aug. 3, 1995.

An Ohio native, she had moved to Virginia Beach on Thanksgiving Day, 1994. Mrs. Geitz retired after 40 years in women's fashions as manager and buyer. She had been affiliated with Hallie Brothers of Cleveland as well as John J. Carroll's, Mr. Tux and The Limited in Central Ohio.

Helen was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church of Granville, Ohio. Over the past five years she was an avid student of the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies.

Preceded in death by her significant other of 20 years, David Sipe, she leaves behind her mother, Catherine Lynes, her brother, Robert Lynes, and sister-in-law, Sharon White of Lorain, Ohio. She leaves her children and their families, John and Barbara Geitz of Lancaster, Ohio, Jeri Geitz of Hebron, Ohio, Roger and Jean Rockey of Virginia Beach, Alvaro and Jody Geitz-Serna of Armenia, Colombia, S.A. She is survived by her grandchildren, Jon Magnuson, Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Rockey, Catherine, Kelly, John and David Rockey, Natalia, Angela and Daniel Serna. She is also survived by Mr. Sipe's sisters and daughters and their families.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Kempsville Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, Helen wishes that you visit a sick family member or friend. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge.
