Anita Wilson Smith, 73, of the 6400 block of Farraday Court, died Sunday, August 6, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General.
Mrs. Smith was the widow of William L. Smith Sr. and was born in Norfolk. She was the daughter of James and Mary Jones Wilson and was a member of Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. She was employed at Norfolk Community Hospital.
She is survived by six daughters, Margaret Smith-Knight, Valerie A. Smith, Gloria L. Smith of Norfolk, Karen T. Smith of Chesapeake, Sharon Smith Etheridge of Virginia Beach, and Master Chief Andrea Smith Hunt of New Orleans; five sons, William L. Smith Jr., Roger Smith, Ronald B. Smith, and Lionle A. Smith of Norfolk, and Reginald D. Smith of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Anna W. Burwell, Eugenia (Jean) W. West, and Margaret W. Roberts, all of New York; 34 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Helen W. Smith and Joyce R. Smith; and Cynthia M. Smith and son-in-law Arthur H. Etheridge.

Burial will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be at her residence, 6426 Farraday Court.
