The 15th annual Tidewater Softball Championships begin tonight at Indian River High and Greenbrier Park.
In church quarterfinals at 7 at Greenbrier, Portsmouth champion Alliance Christian faces Chesapeake runner-up Bethel Baptist A; while the Norfolk champion First Baptist Crusaders take on Portsmouth runner-up St. Therese I.
At 8:15, Beach champion Virginia Beach Vineyard takes on Norfolk runner-up First Lutheran, while Chesapeake champion Mount Pleasant Mennonite 1 faces Beach runner-up Hope Lutheran.
In coed quarterfinals at 7 at Indian River, Portsmouth champion Harrison's/Commerce/Mario takes on Norfolk runner-up Forty Something, while Chesapeake winner Seabreeze/Maxwell's faces Portsmouth runner-up D&D Masonry. At 8:15, Beach champion Cummings/ Footer's takes on Chesapeake runner-up Qwacker Jax, and Norfolk champ Hooter's faces Beach runner-up Ampmor Electric.
Men's and women's quarterfinals will be held at the two sites Wednesday night.
Championship games in all four divisions will be held Friday at Greenbrier, with church and coed at 7 p.m., followed by men's and women's at 9. by CNB
