Editha T. Teves, 60, of the 1600 block of Skyline Drive, died Aug. 7, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Teves, a retired school teacher, was born in Iloilo, Philippines. She taught in the Philippines. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and assisted the Philippine and American organization of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was also a member of Kahirup Association of Hampton Roads Philippine-American Community of Tidewater.
Survivors include her husband, John Teves of Norfolk; one daughter, Brenda Sikorski of Kaneohe, Hawaii; one son, Rex Teves of Durham, N.C.; her parents, Concepcion G. Tuvida and Jose Tuvida, both of Tigbaun, Iloilo, Philippines; four sisters, Ofelia Gange of Cornwells Heights, Pa., Leticia Garulacan of Philadelphia, Pa., Estella Deloria of Langhorn, Pa., Alicia Tuvida of San Bernardino, Calif.; two brothers, Virgilio Tuvida of Yardley, Pa., Arturo Tuvida of Bataneas, Philippines; and one grandchild, Ember Sikorski.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Rev. William Dale. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at St. Pius X Catholic Church from 7 to 9:30 p.m. today. Floral deliveries should be sent to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
