Olean Bowen Spear, 76, of the 500 block of Jessup St., died Aug. 7, 1995, in her residence.
She was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late George and Hester Bowen, and the widow of William Kelly Spear.
Survivors include seven daughters, Graythel Myers of Lanacoming, Md., Alice Knarr of Virginia Beach, Kay Benson of Evergreen, Colo., Grace Johnson of Hertford, N.C., Peggy Cobb of Chesapeake, Norma Williams of Greenville, and Mary Spear of Elizabeth City, N.C.; two sons, J.C. Spear and Jeff Spear both of Elizabeth City, N.C.; one sister, Della Spruill of Columbia, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, Kelly Spear Jr.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Twiford's Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City, N.C. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be at the residence.
