Steven Michael Vance, 16, of Shinnston, formerly of Virginia Beach, Va., died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 1995, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born Nov. 3, 1978, in Clarksburg.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Kim and Cliff Fox of Virginia Beach, Va.; his father, Keith Vance of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Chris Fox of Clarksburg; two sisters, Mrs. Kyle (Julie) Bondo of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Melissa K. Fox of Clarksburg; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Virginia Harris of Shinnston; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Marie Vance of Concord, Va.; his paternal great-grandmother, Beryl Vance of Shinnston; his paternal stepgrandmother, Hester Fox of Clarksburg; one nephew, Zackary Bondo; and one niece, Kayla Bondo.
Steven was a sophomore at Lincoln High School and previously attended Salem High School in Virginia, where he played City League Football. He was a former member of the Boy Scouts of America and was an avid fisherman. He attended the Union Mission Church at Swisher Hill.
