Margaret Bridges Holliday, a longtime resident of Portsmouth, died in her home on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 1995.
Mrs. Holliday was a former president of the Portsmouth Womens' Club and Church Women United. For many years she served as a Sunday school teacher at Park View Christian Church and as a Deaconess Emeritus.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence W. Holliday; a daughter, Ruth Lee Bridges Wooldridge and her husband, Robert Wooldridge Sr. of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Robert W. Wooldridge Jr. and his wife, Jacqueline S. Wooldridge of Herndon, Va.; a granddaughter, Sandra Lee Paxson and her husband, Nicholas of Norfolk; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Living Endowment Fund, Park View Christian Church, or a charity of your choice.
