Evon E. Battle, 47, of 1009 Castle Court, died Aug. 9, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Battle was an accountant at Norfolk State University. She was born in Portsmouth, Va., and was a member of Third Baptist Church of Portsmouth, Va.
She is survived by her husband, Cato M. Battle; one daughter, Antionette Battle; her mother, Naomi Elliott Dixon; one sister, Verna Dixon; four brothers, Tony Elliott, Romierell Elliott, Vernon Dixon, Leonardus Dixon; and her mother-in-law, Pearle Battle.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming in Third Baptist Church. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Cheseapeake. The body will be in church at 10 a.m. and the family will receive friends at 2710 High St., Portsmouth, Va., and 3068 Kenelm Drive, Chesapeake.
