Donald Lee Michael, 57, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 1995, at his residence.
He was born in Staunton and had been a Peninsula resident for 50 years. He recently retired from Newport News Shipbuilding and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a graduate of Warwick High School in Newport News and a member of Hilton Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Michael is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bernice G. Michael of Newport News; one sister, Jacqueline M. Compton of Christiansburg; and two nieces, Heather Compton and Dusty Compton, also of Christiansburg.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hilton Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Barbara Bayley. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hilton Presbyterian Church, 34 Main St., Newport News, Va. 23601 or to a favorite charity.
