Amber Marie Zajac, 17, died early Tuesday morning, Aug. 8, 1995, near home.
She was born in San Diego, Calif., and was a rising senior and member of the student council at Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach.
She is survived by her mother, Paula Seek, and her husband, Dennis, both of San Diego, Calif.; her father, Joseph Zajac of Virginia Beach; her sister, Sarah Zajac of Virginia Beach; her paternal grandparents, Darlene and Edward Zajac Sr. of Chicago, Ill.; her maternal grandparents, Elaine and Paul Criste of Orange City, Fla.; numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins; and also close family members, Susan Thomas and Danielle Hopkins.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, in Eastern Shore Chapel located in Virginia Beach, by Chaplain John Ponder. The family will receive friends today between 6 and 8 p.m. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Cemetery, Virginia Beach. Kellum Funeral Home, 3795 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach, is handling arrangements.
