Hersey Lee Dilday, 72, died Aug. 9, 1995, in Robeson County, N.C., in an automobile accident.
Mr. Dilday was the widower of Hortense Mitchell Dilday. Mr. Dilday was born in Bertie County, N.C., was a Baptist and was a retired executive with F.C.X. He was also the owner of Dilday's Seeds Associates.
He is survived by three sisters, Nellie Rae Childrens of Virginia Beach, Va., Allie Mitchell Fowler of New Bern, N.C., and Nancy Dupree of Angier, N.C.; two brothers, Levie Dilday and Horace Dilday, both of Ahoskie, N.C.; nine nieces; and six nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Jack Byrd. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, and will assemble at the funeral home 1 p.m. Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to the N.C.
