Police are still looking for a prisoner who walked away from the receiving area of the city jail on Wednesday.
John Martin Hall, 42, was being held on a grand larceny charge. His bond had been set at $7,500 Wednesday.
He was discovered missing when deputies made a routine count of prisoners.
Martin is not considered dangerous, said Betty Aronson, spokeswoman for the Portsmouth Sheriff's Department.
Authorities are hoping that Martin will turn himself in, Aronson said. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
