Edward R. Morgan, 66, of the 500 block of Henderson St., died Aug. 9, 1995.
Mr. Morgan was born in Winston-Salem, N.C. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 20 years and from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 19 years. He was a former member of Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Morgan; a son, Timothy E. Morgan; six sisters, Lois J. Marion of Groton, Conn., Irene J. Smitherman of Virginia Beach, Betty J. Higginbotham of Fayetteville, N.C., Margaret A. Knight of Tucson, Ariz., Elizabeth A. Clarke of Chesapeake and Doris J. Morgan of Los Angeles, Calif.; four brothers, Harvey F. Morgan Jr. of Virginia Beach, Ray L. Morgan of Tuskegee, Ala., Maurice F. Morgan of Hollywood, Calif., and Harold B. Morgan of San Jose, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Fisher Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph L. Roberts. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Hampton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. Monday.
