Lloyd E. Vest, 78, of the 8000 block of Lynnbrook Drive, a retired yardmaster, died Aug. 10, 1995 in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Vest was born in Chahroy, W.Va. He retired from Norfolk & Portsmouth Beltline Railroad after 38 years and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Roberta R. Vest; two daughters, Alicia and her husband Kermit Spivey of Norfolk, and Ann Collins of Chesapeake; two sons, Lloyd R. and his wife Nancy Vest of Norfolk and Robert E. and his wife Marrianne Vest of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Joy Kitchen of Garden City, Mich., and Sylvia Harbour of Gilbraltar, Mich.; a brother, Emerson Vest of Huntington, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk chapel, by the Rev. Keith Martin. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
