Allison Blair McCall, 11, of the 1600 block of Emmerton Court of Va. Beach passed away Thursday in a local hospital. Allison was a student at Rosemont Forest Elementary School, where she was chosen Academic Student of the Year by the fifth-grade teachers. She was a dancer with the Old Dominion University Ballet and had performed in the Nutcracker Ballet. She attended Central Baptist Church of Norfolk.
She is survived by her parents, Ronald N. & LeeAnn Alexander McCall; her sister, Lauren Ashley McCall of Va. Beach; her maternal grandparents, Rev. Dr. T.L. and LaDell Alexander of Va. Beach; her paternal grandparents, Neal and Julie McCall of Shallotte, N.C.; four aunts and uncles, Rev. Dr. Zane and Priscilla Alexander of Williamsburg, Joyce and Jim White, Williamsburg, Jamie and Robb Griffin, Williamsburg, and Leslie and John Klossner, Charlottesville; and a host of cousins.
The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. from Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Zane Alexander and the Rev. Evelyn Keever officiating. Interment with the family will be Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, 1485 Kempsville Rd., Va. Beach, Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, Children's Lane, Norfolk, or to the Old Dominion University Ballet.
