Cullen McNeer ``Chester'' Fain, 60, of the 6000 block of Portsmouth Blvd., died Aug. 10, 1995, in his residence.
He was a native of War, W.Va., retired from Plumbers & Pipefitter Union Local 110 after 35 years, was an active member and on the Pastor's Council in the Riverview Church of God, Draper, Va., served on the Apprenticeship Committee of Local 491 in Roanoke, Va., and worked for many years at the Radford Army Arsenal as a superintendent for Hicks & Ingle.
Survivors include his wife, Betty M. Fain; three daughters, Gwendolyn Fain Wiley and her husband, Ken, of Norfolk, Karen Fain Caddy and her husband, Tim, of Chesapeake and Betty ``Terry'' Fain Ward of Portsmouth; a son, Monty Fain and his wife, Missy, of Chesapeake; his mother, Lillian Vann Terry of Pulaski, Va.; a sister, Dovie Ann Frigo of Reading, Calif.; two brothers, Frank J. Fain of Suffolk and Bob R. Fain of Portsmouth; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Portsmouth Assembly of God by the Rev. Wendell Gaffney and the Rev. Homer Peterson. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Riverview Church of God, Draper, Va.
