Betty C. Barbee, 71, formerly of 4700 block of Bruce St., died Aug. 11, 1995, in Newport News.
Mrs. Barbee was a native of Akron, Ohio. She was the widow of William Thomas Barbee and retired in 1986 with over 15 years with the Norfolk Health Department. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Virginia Beach and was a former member of Brentwood Baptist Church in Norfolk. She was a former member of the Sweet Adelines.
Survivors include a son, David Wayne Barbee of Newport News; two sisters, Rose Barbee of Norfolk and Bonnie Cahill of Hinckley, Ohio; four nieces and three nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 1995, at First Baptist Church of Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk.
Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease & Related Disorders Assoc., 20 Koger Executive Center, Norfolk, Va. 23502. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts, Norfolk Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
