What is the single thing that keeps one from having a family gathering? Most people would say the television set. Everyone is so attracted to it. We ignorantly forget our priorities.
Recently I tried to put the television set upstairs. There were many protests, but I managed to get the set upstairs.
In two days, everyone was talking and we all were doing many family activities such as playing cards, badminton, soccer and tennis. My theory for why this sudden change occurred in my family is the moving of the TV. It is more uncomfortable to sit in metal chairs than on the couch, and there is nothing upstairs to snack on.
My plan was a success.
