City officials and the would-be developers of a new building for the city's Social Services and Health Departments will hold an open house tomorrow night to answer questions about the project.
Olympia Development Corp. hopes to build the four-story structure on city-owned property at the corner of South Independence Boulevard and Holland Road. Residents living near the site have voiced concerns about the project.
The open house is intended to provide information only; there will be no official presentation or formal record of citizen comments. It will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Kempsville Meadows Elementary School, 736 Edwin Drive.
The City Council will hold a public hearing on the project at its Aug. 22 regular meeting. The meeting, held in City Council Chambers, begins at 6 p.m. by CNB
