Sidney West Hughson Jr., 46, of Roanoke, died Friday, August 11, 1995.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney West Hughson Sr. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Eunice B. Hughson of Roanoke; daughter, Tonya Michelle Hughson of Virginia Beach; brother and sister-in-law, D. Britt and Debbie Hughson of Portsmouth; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Joe Rains of Roanoke; nieces and nephew, Daniel Hughson, Sara Rains and Katie Rains.
Sidney served in the Army in the Vietnam conflict.
A memorial service will be held at the Emmaus Foursquare Baptist Church, 4209 Portsmouth Boulevard, Chesapeake, Va., at 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, 1995. The Rev. James R. Cooke of Charlottesville, Va., and Dr. C. Hollomon will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends following the memorial service at the home of Britt and Debbie Hughson, 417 Russell Street, Portsmouth, Va. Burial will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 1995, at the Britton Family Homeplace in Galacia, N.C. The Rev. David Foster of Galacia Baptist Church will officiate. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, Roanoke, Va.
