Francis Paul Wysocki, 79, of the 4400 block of Green Acres Parkway, died August 11, 1995, in the V.A. Medical Center, Hampton.
Mr. Wysocki, a native of Pittsburgh and a former resident of Norfolk, was retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Boatswain Mate after 20 years of service. He was also retired from the Elizabeth River Tunnel Commission after 20 years. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection; a former member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Norfolk; and a former member of Fleet Reserve Branch 5. He was the widower of Rose Jolanta Wysocki.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances W. Murray and her husband Tex of Portsmouth; two sisters, Regina McCaslin of Pittsburgh; Mary Skibo of Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren, Sandra M. Burton and her husband John of Portsmouth; Brian E. Murray and his wife Mimi of Chesapeake; Susan L. Murray of Charlotte, N.C.; and one great-grandchild, Michael S. Burton.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, in the Church of the Resurrection by the Rev. James Carr. Burial with military honors will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. A Christian service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
