PACIFICO GINES

Pacifico Gines, 60, of the 100 block of E. Leicester Ave., Norfolk, died on August 9, 1995, in Seaford, Delaware.

Mr. Gines was born in the Philippines and was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia Gines, three sons, Jerry Batingan Gines of Richmond, Va., Pacifico Gines, Jr. of Long Beach, Calif., Anthony Gines of Norfolk; two sisters, Charity Baiza of Philippines, Mercy Estrada of Seattle, Wash.; and a brother, Bill Gines of Long Beach, Calif.

Mr. Gines was a Roman Catholic and veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts.

A Liturgy of the Resurrection will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Monday, August 14, at 7 p.m. Burial will take place Tuesday, August 15, at 9 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the burial. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family will be at the funeral home all day on Sunday.
