Mr. Theodore Turner, 63, of the 7500 block of Windsor Blvd., died Aug. 10, 1995, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Southampton County, Va.; was employed at Franklin Equipment Company for four years; was a member and deacon of New Branch Baptist Church; member of Chapel Grove U.C.C. Male Chorus; manager of the Golden Trumpeters of Windsor, Va.; and an active member of the Senior and (NU)2 choirs at New Branch Baptist Church. He retired from Windsor Supply Corp. after 36 years and was the son of the late Roosevelt Turner.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie Sue Banks-Turner; two daughters, Elaine A. (Frankie) Holliman of Portsmouth and Margaret I. (Roy) Stokes; his mother, Alice Washington-Turner; two sisters, Ethel Hunt and Susie Wilson of Suffolk; four brothers, William Washington, Richard Turner, James Turner and George Turner; mother-in-law, Estelle Banks; and four grandchildren, Tinika and Jean Stokes and Chelsea and Frankie Holliman.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at New Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank L. Aikens, Sr. and the Rev. Author Hudgins. Burial will be in Chapel Grove U.C.C. Church Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive family and friends at New Branch Baptist Church, 8140 Proctors Bridge Road, Ivor, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and all other times at the residence. Mr. Turner rests at Crocker Funeral Home, 900 E. Washington St., Suffolk.
