JUNE GOLDBURG WARNER

June Goldburg Warner, 68, of the 7400 block of Abbott Lane, died Aug. 12, 1995, in her residence.

Mrs. Warner was a native of Norfolk. She was a member and former board member of Congregation Beth El in Norfolk. She was a member of its Sisterhood and the Hadassah. She was the first female chairman of the United Way, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Suffolk; member of the Board of Commissioners for Lake Taylor Hospital; member of the Norfolk Bond Authority; director of Jewish Family Services in Palm Beach, Fla.; former member of the board of the Day Care and Child Development Center; a member and chairman of the Women's Division of the United Jewish Fund; and an original member of the Opera Guild.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Oscar Warner of Norfolk; two daughters, Nancy Rosen of Woodland Hills, Calif., Peggy Warner of Baltimore, Md.; a son, Adam Warner of Greensboro, N.C.; a brother, Allan Goldburg of Virginia Beach; and five grandchildren, David, Bonnie, Blair, Morgan and Paige.

A service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Congregation Beth El by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg and Cantor Jacob Tessler. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Beth El or the Endowment Fund of the United Jewish Federation. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, will be handling the arrangements.
