We have heard from Congress: Cut welfare, schools, Medicaid, military-base jobs, etc.; raise the age for Social Security.
But not one time have I heard anyone in Congress say, ``Cut my $80,000-a-year paycheck in half.''
How can anyone making $50,000 to $100,000 a year understand what middle- and low-income people are up against?
The way I see it, anyone working for the people should get paid like the people - the middle- and low-income people, that is.
