WHERE'S DECENCY

What has happened to respect for private and public property, for flag and country, for community and people, and for decency and honesty?

Drive to practically any road or highway on Hampton Roads and you will see trash strewn along the roadside. Go to any ceremony where the flag is displayed and the national anthem is played and look around at people with their hats on and either sitting down or generally moving around and talking. Listen to the offensive language in public places. The lack of respect is everywhere.

Who is to blame? The obvious answer is parents; but the schools are running a close second.

Why can't schools teach respect for country, flag, community property and people? Are sex education and condom distribution more important than teaching respect?

Let's go back to the basics that made our country great; i.e., God, family, community and respect, and away from all this politically correct junk being force-fed our kids in the public-school system.
