John K. Sheffield, 29, of Chesapeake, passed away Saturday afternoon Aug. 12, 1995, at Williamsburg Community Hospital.
He was born in Portsmouth, and was the son of the Rev. Don N. Sheffield and the late Mrs. Mary S. Sheffield. He was a member of the Green Lakes Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Other survivors include his brother, David N. Sheffield; his sisters, Sherrye S. Pollard and Donna S. Wallace; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Louise B. Sharps.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. The Rev. W. Thomas Wood will officiate. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be made to Green Lakes Baptist Church, 1610 Hodges Ferry Road, Portsmouth, 23701.
