Mae Berson Winnick, 82, of the first block of Crawford Parkway, died Aug. 12, 1995, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Winnick, a former elementary school teacher in Portsmouth, was a native of Norfolk County. She was a member of Gomley Chesed Synagogue, and the Retired School Teachers Association of Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband, George Winnick; one daughter, Elaine W. Krell and husband Barry of Charleston, S.C.; one son, Dr. Mark B. Winnick and wife Bonnie of Bethesda, Md.; one sister, Gittlee B. Friedman and husband Elias L., of Portsmouth; one brother, Richard W. Berson and wife Lorraine of Portsmouth; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at noon Tuesday in Gomley Chesed Cemetery by Rabbi Philip S. Krohn. Contributions may be made to Gomley Chesed Synagogue or a favorite charity. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, is in charge.
