Dorothy Gertrude Hechler Riddle, 83, died Aug. 13, 1995.
Mrs. Riddle, the widow of the Rev. Benjamin Riddle, was born in Richmond. Reverend and Mrs. Riddle lived in Accomac for 27 years while Rev. Riddle served as pastor of Drummond Town Baptist Church, where he retired in 1984 after 52 years in the ministry. She was a member of Hampton Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Benjamin A. Riddle Jr. of Hampton; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lawrence B. Wood Chapel with Dr. Chester L. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hampton Baptist Church, 40 Kings Way, Hampton, Va. 23669.
