Raymond H. Evick, 79, of the 3500 block of Byrn Brae Drive, died Aug. 12, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mr. Evick, a retired accountant with the comptrollers office at NOB Norfolk, was born in Elkins, W.Va. He was the widower of Elizabeth Tracey Evick, and was a member of the Friendship Bible Class at the Kempsville Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, during which he received the Purple Heart. He was valedictorian of his 1935 graduating class at Elkins High School in Elkins, W.Va.
Survivors include one daughter, Christine Evick Bradshaw, and her husband, Dr. James A. Bradshaw of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Jessica A. Bradshaw and Jennifer E. Bradshaw, both of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, by Dr. James A. Bradshaw. The family will be at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
