RANDOLPH S. MCKENZIE JR.

Randolph S. McKenzie Jr., 45, of the 8200 block of Gygax Road, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. McKenzie was born in Norfolk and was predeceased by his father, Randolph S. McKenzie Sr., and a brother, Benjamin McKenzie. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and served as an officer in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Mr. McKenzie had been employed as an aviation mechanic with the Naval Aviation Depot, Norfolk, for the past 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Ann Rhodes McKenzie; his mother and stepfather, Katherine and Charles Shaw, both of Chesapeake; his daughter, Susan Ashley McKenzie of Virginia Beach; his two sons, Sgt. Eric Ryan Barnes, U.S.A., stationed at Fort Drum, N.Y., and Cpl. Kevin Anthony Barnes, U.S.M.C., stationed aboard the U.S.S. Kearsharge; one sister, Elizabeth Davis of Chesapeake; one brother, Timothy McKenzie of Virginia Beach; and his grandmother, Irene Winters of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. James Clark. Interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. The family will be at 1252 Kingsway Drive, Essex Meadows, Chesapeake. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 360 Southport Circle, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452.
