Motorola Inc. will recall 150,000 digital cellular phones from customers in six countries after finding that a software bug caused problems for users in Hong Kong and Israel, the New York Times reported. The $10 million to $20 million cost of replacing the software will be covered by funds reserved for warranty repairs, Motorola said. The bug, found in software used for Motorola's Alpha digital cellular phones, rendered voices inaudible, disabled connections and cut off calls when activated. (Bloomberg Business News)
