Myra Jean Ransom Iriarte, of the 2800 block of Mapleton Ave., died Aug. 12, 1995, in Norfolk Community Hospital.
She was a retired teacher of 31 years for the Norfolk Public Schools System and was born in Norfolk. She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Alberto Iriarte; one son, Miquel A. Iriarte of Norfolk; one sister, Corine Ransom Farrar of Richmond; a devoted cousin, Maurice A. Sanders of Virginia Beach; one uncle, Leon Jackson of Baltimore, Md.; one niece, Kim Y. Farrar; and one nephew, Charles E. Farrar, both of Richmond, Va.
A funeral service will be conducted noon Thursday, by the Rev. Kim Neal, in New Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in church 10 a.m. Thursday, and a wake will be held today from 7 to 8 p.m. Family will assemble at 2834 Mapleton Ave. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
