BORIS HUBIAK

Boris Hubiak, 83, of the 2600 block of Baltic Ave., died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 1995, in Parsons Residental Care Center in Chesapeake.

Boris was the devoted husband of the late Anna Worona Hubiak. In 1975, he retired after 30 years as a chief warrant officer in the U.S. Navy. He served on the USS Saratoga, USS Wasp, and the USS Midway. He then worked at Oceana Naval Air Station for 15 years as a supply clerk. He was a member of Dormition of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church (Orthodox Church in America).

He is survived by two daughters, Ann H. Calder and Patricia H. Golay; and one son, Leon B. Hubiak, all of Virginia Beach; one sister, Olga H. Carvey of Mayfield, Pa.; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, by the Rev. Father Theordore Panchak, and Chaplain Commander Paul Pyrch. The family will remain for visitation until 8:30 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery, 2020 Laskin Road.
