Alvester S. Mills, 68, of the 2900 block of Virginia Beach Blvd., passed away Aug. 14, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Mills was a retired grocer. He was born in Suffolk, Va., and was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. James Mills.
Survivors include two brothers, Richard Smith of Norfolk and Clarence Smith of California; one sister, Elsie B. White of Norfolk; a brother-in-law, Herman L. White Jr.; and a cousin, James Joyner of Norfolk. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mills was a loyal, dependable and faithful friend and relative. The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday at Graves Funeral Home by the Rev. Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will assemble at 7501 Diven St. the day of the service. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
