Suffolk's municipal access channel is moving from cable channel 13 to cable channel 8. The City of Suffolk and Falcon Cable Media have decided to make the change effective at 9 a.m. today.
This change, which is expected to offer the viewing public improved reception, is a better opportunity for the municipal access station. MAC-13 has experienced bleed-over, at times, from WVEC-13, which has caused viewing problems for cable subscribers. Attempts to alleviate the bleed-over were unsuccessful mainly because WVEC-13 has a stronger signal, making the channel change necessary.
Falcon Cable Media will continue to air messages on the channel change on the Community Bulletin Board stations for at least two weeks. Citizens should continue to tune into the municipal access channel for useful information on the City of Suffolk. For information, contact Mike Matovich, 925-6330. by CNB
