Breaking and entering, 4700 Bridge Road, July 31, someone entered a trailer by prying open the door. A Sanyo copy machine valued at $500, a fax machine valued at $280 and a battery drill valued at $150 were removed. A $25 extension cord and $20 halogen light were also removed from a construction site.
Strong-arm robbery, Brookwood and Camellia drives, Aug. 1, someone reported being restrained while men removed a watch and sunglases.
Lost or stolen, 5900 block Bradford Drive, Aug. 2, someone reported state tag missing from his vehicle.

Assault and battery, 6700 block Everets Road, July 27, a woman reported that a man kicked and hit her.
Stolen firearm, 2600 Robin Hood Trail, July 31, someone removed a Remington
Petty larceny, 3400 block Pruden Blvd., July 31, someone removed a Nokia 100 cellular phone from a 95 Chevrolet pickup.

Stolen firearm, 500 block Ashley Ave., July 29, someone removed a Davis 380 caliber handgun from a residence.
Petty larceny, Kimberly Texaco, July 30, a woman entered a store and asked for three boxes of cigarettes. She grabbed them and fled in a light blue, 4-door Ford Tempo.
Breaking and entering, 400 block Smith St., July 30, someone entered a church by removing a window air conditioning unit. Also taken were a telephone, two portable amplifiers, assorted power and hand tools, and two Fedders 10,000 BTU window air contioners. Estimated damage is $1,100.
Lost or stolen, 1000 block Delaware Ave., Aug. 1, a city decal belonging to an '87 Jeep was reported lost.
Petty larceny, Washington and Saratoga streets, Aug. 2, someone entered a vehicle by removing a window-patch and removed several items, including a walking cane, assorted toiletries and a dress.

Grand larceny, 100 block South Division St., July 25, someone removed a G.E. air conditioning unit from a front side window.
Breaking and entering, 1000 block Whitemarsh Road, July 25, someone removed a window fan and a large pickle jar containing $30.
Rape, East Washington Street, July 25, a woman was threatened with a knife and forced into a warehouse, where she was raped.
Breaking and entering, 1200 block East Washington St., July 26, someone entered a business by pushing a window unit air conditioner into the office, where a copy machine was removed.
Breaking and entering, 300 block Holladay St., July 27, someone entered a residence by cutting the screen door. A blue and gray man's Beach Cruiser bicycle valued at $180 was removed.
Grand larceny, 5300 block Chisholm Lane, July 28, someone entered a vacant house and removed nine wall thermostats, breakers and two pieces of aluminum siding.
Petty larceny, 900 block Lake Kennedy Drive, July 30, a Virginia state inspection sticker was removed from a '75 Ford pickup truck.
Assault and battery, 100 block Grayson St., July 29, someone punched a person in the face, causing lacerations.
Motor vehicle theft, 300 block Bank St., July 30, a woman gave an acquaintance a ride. When she stopped at her residence, she returned to see the passenger drive off in her car, a red '93 Mercury Tracer.
Motor vehicle theft, 500 block East Constance Road, July 31, a silver, 4-door '87 Chevy Nova was loaned to a man who gave another person a ride. He left the vehicle unattended with the keys while he stopped at the store. When he returned, the vehicle was gone.

Breaking and entering, 5300 block Holy Neck Road, July 27, someone entered a residence and removed stereo equipment, including a speaker valued at $550, a Pioneer stereo system containing a Pioneer CD player, dual cassette recorder/player, receiver and amplifier.
Petty larceny, 8300 block Longstreet Lane, July 28, a state inspection sticker was removed from a vehicle.
Petty larceny, 300 Pond Drive, July 30, someone entered a garage and removed a maroon, 26-inch mountain terrain bike.
DISTRICT F
Petty larceny, 1300 block Lawson Circle, July 28, an inspection sticker and city decal were removed from a vehicle.
Breaking and entering, 200 block Forest Glen Drive, July 31, someone broke into a school through the choir room window. The intruder broke out the office window and entered the coffee room, where the microwave and boxes of candy were thrown into the hallway. ILLUSTRATION: CRIME LINE
Suffolk police are looking for the persons responsible for
shooting a Suffolk woman.
On Aug. 1, at about 12:30 a.m., 33-year-old Rosa Melinda Steward
of Greenfield Crescent was shot. A large, white, four-door sedan
with tinted windows pulled up to the corner of 4th Street and
Clary's Drive, and a single shot was fired.
Rosa Steward was walking with a friend and was struck by the
bullet. She was admitted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
